USD 457 staff were back for the start of the school year at Garden City High School. It was a great event with performances from GCHS students , a great speaker, community organizations, and Food Trucks for lunch.

There will be a Subcommittee Boundary Study meeting on Thursday, August 8th at 5:00 p.m. in the Educational Support Center Board Room.


The Educational Support Center at Garden City Public Schools will be closed Friday, August 9th for an all staff inservice during the day. The Educational Support Center will be open with regular business hours on Monday, August 12, 2024.


Plymell Elementary School Family Night will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024.
Kindergarten only, 5:30-6:00 PM
All Students Kindergarten - 6th grade, 6:00-7:00 PM
Students are encouraged to bring supplies, then join us for a time of outdoor activities.


A number schools that will have new start and end times. The new times for Bernadine Sitts and Charles Stones Intermediate Centers will be 8:15 am - 3:30 pm.
Garfield Early Childhood Center’s morning session is 8:45 - 11:50 am. The afternoon session is 1:15 - 4:20 pm.
