The GCHS JROTC will conduct a team training camp July 29th – August 10th for the upcoming season. The camp will focus on physical conditioning and event training. If students are interested in the camp, contact 1st Sergeant Stephen Peterson at speterson@gckschools.com.

The Summer School at Florence Wilson Elementary School will hold a Spray day on Thursday, June 20. The school is asking that parents send an extra set of clothes and towel with their child to participate in the Spray day event.

UPDATE to the USD 457 Books-on-the-Bus schedule for Monday. The bookmobile will visit Mary Street Apartments and Garden Rapids at the Big Pool on Monday. The bookmobile will not visit Gertrude Walker Elementary School on Monday.
There has been an explosion next to Gertrude Walker Elementary School. The school has sustained minor damage from the explosion. There will be no Summer School at the school on Monday. Our thoughts go out to all involved in the emergency response.
