
How have the missed days of school due to the recent winter storms affected make-up days and graduation? The district will continue to follow the Board approved calendar for the 2023-2024 school year. The last day of school is still May 23, 2024.

Garden City High School choir members have been chosen for the 2024 All-State Choir. They are Darby Reimer, Danica Galia, Elissa Hinojos, Georgia Fahrmeier, Michelle Ramos, Emma Haeck, Annalise York, Hayley Loya, Tristan Garcia, Ian Houghawout, Harmonie Cruz, and Emma Lightner.

The GCHS Boys Swim Team is holding a fundraiser in partnership with Applebee’s today, January 23. By choosing from the Together We Care menu, 50% of the proceeds will help support the Buffalo Boys Swim Team.



Garden City Mayor, Manny Ortiz, read a proclamation at Victor Ornelas Elementary School Monday morning. The proclamation declares the week of January 22 - 25 as Health Awareness Week in Garden City. The Student Lighthouse Team received the proclamation. Also in attendance were Michelle Shull, Health Services Coordinator, Brenda Harder, School Nurse for Victor Ornelas, and Erica Cruz, Student Lighthouse Coordinator.
