This afternoon, a mechanical issue occurred with one of the HVAC units at Garfield Early Childhood Center. The Garden City Fire Department was promptly notified and responded. The situation has been fully resolved, and all students are safe.

There will be a Baccalaureate service to celebrate your accomplishments in graduation. Baccalaureate is a Christian faith-based service that celebrates graduates. This is a moment of reflection and encouragement through music, scripture readings, and brief messages of hope and wisdom to look ahead to the future with gratitude and purpose. Your whole family is welcome to attend with you in this time of celebration. The service will be Sunday, May 11, 2025 at 3pm in the GCHS Auditorium. The GCHS Art Department competed at FHSU in the 50th annual High School Art Day. Garden City High School students took home 47 merit awards for their work.
Cesar Morales Gomez, “Is to Perform” Charcoal, took Best of Show.
He will receive a $1,000 Field scholarship to attend FHSU, majoring in Art and Design.
The instructors from Garden City will receive a $200 Blick Art Materials gift certificate to purchase art materials for their program.
Due to the forecasted weather USD 457 Transportation will be running Mud Routes for Tuesday May 6th.
