The USD 457 Virtual Academy had a number of students graduate from the school during the first semester of the 2025-2026 school year. The students who graduated from the school include Jayla Bird, Britzy Cuaraque, Samuel Hamill, Natalie Garcia, Elizabeth Morales, Carlos Acosta, Mozelle Carr, Alisa Lopez, Austin Seavey, Mya Guajardo, Blair Ramirez, and Palacios Gallegos.

There will be no school for Garden City Public Schools on Monday, January 5th, for a Teacher Workday and Tuesday, January 6th, for an in-service day. School will resume on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
A number of Garden City Public Schools principals volunteered yesterday at the local Kansas Food Bank and filled over 500 bags of food for the Food 4 Kids program. The bags were placed into 72 boxes for distribution. Kansas Food for Kids provides weekend and summer meals to food-insecure children in schools, offering kid-friendly, no-prep foods to bridge hunger gaps when school meals are not available.
Garden City Public Schools will be out of school for Winter Vacation from Monday, December 22, 2025, - Tuesday, January 6, 2026. All district facilities will be closed for the holiday break, Monday, December 22nd - Friday, January 2, 2026. School resumes on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
