
The approved Board of Education's revised 2023-24 school calendar took effect following the ratification of the 2023-24 Negotiated Agreement between USD 457 and GCEA at last night's meeting. The first full day of school for all students will be August 16 and the last day will now be May 23. The student day will be 20 minutes shorter than last year. Updated school start and end times will be available soon.

Our Transportation Department is hosting a "Test Drive the Bus" event on Saturday, July 15 at the GCHS student parking lot. Lunch will be provided for attendees from 11:00am - 1:00pm.

Staff are working diligently to prepare our buildings for your students. Our facilities teams utilize summer break to complete projects including cosmetic updates and roof repair.


The annual "Stuff the Bus" is this Saturday, July 8 and Sunday, July 9 from 9:00am - 3:00pm. Donations will be collected at Dillon’s East, Dillon’s West, Target, Walmart, Walmart Neighborhood Market, Staples, and Dollar General in Holcomb. This year's goal is to fill 2,000 backpacks that will be distributed later this month. More information about backpack distribution will be shared soon.

Students participated in a many learning activities at our ENGAGE Summer School program. Staff would like to thank Paleteria Tarahumara for providing ice cream to celebrate the program's last day of the summer session.
