The Buffs were at Jennie Wilson Elementary School today for a student pep rally. The Spirit of the Buffalo was at the school this week and students will pull it through the tunnel at tonight's football game.

Garden City Downtown Vision is hosting the second "GCK Proud Community Pep Rally" in Stevens Park during their Food Truck Friday event tomorrow.
The community is invited to support both the GCHS and GCCC teams, as they get ready to play on their home fields. The GCHS Show Choir and drumline will perform at the noon pep rally.

The GCHS football players were at Georgia Matthews Elementary School this morning greeting students and giving high fives. The team will take on Wichita-West at home this Friday.

The GCHS Drama Department has announced its 23-24 season, starting with The Alibis on September 28th, 30th and October 1st. Read more about this production, as well as the rest of this year's lineup, at www.gckschools.com/article/1234820.


A free developmental screening clinic will be held Friday, September 15 for children ages 3 to 5 who are residents of Garden City. The screening will take approximately an hour and a half. Trained professionals will check each child's hearing, vision, large and small muscle development, communication, and thinking skills. Appointments may be made by calling the Garfield Early Childhood Center at 620-805-7500.



Our ENGAGE after school program kicked off last week. Their weekly focus was on team building and building relationships.
