Garden City Mayor, Deb Oyler, was at Charles Stones Intermediate Center this morning to read a proclamation to promote American Education Week in Garden City. She presented the proclamation to Garden City Education Association (GCEA) President Lynnlea Anderson.


The Garden City Public Schools Foundation Grant Squad visited schools on Monday, November 13 to award $200 mini-grants to help teachers enhance instruction in their classrooms. The Garden City High School drama department will present The Addams Family: A New Musical School Edition, on November 10th and 11th at 7:00 p.m. and November 12th at 2:30 p.m. It will be held in the auditorium. The Garden City High School JROTC Lady Raiders are the 2023 National Raider All-Service Runner-Up at the National Raider Competition in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Both teams from the high school did a great job at this year's competition.

The Garden City High School JROTC attended the Opening Ceremonies at the JROTC National Raider Championships in Fort Knox, Kentucky and enjoyed the opening day festivities.




The school district received a donation of books for the Books on the Bus program from Rileigh Partin. The donation was a result of a fundraiser that she did through her Paper Pie business for the program.


Garden City High School hosted a College Planning Conference on Wednesday with over 30 colleges in attendance. Juniors and seniors received information about the institutions they were interested in attending after high school.
