The Garden City High School counselors are hosting "Snacks and Apps" on Thursday, October 24th, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the GCHS Library. It is a workshop to assist seniors in applying for scholarships to support their continuing education after high school. Snacks will be provided during the event.

Garden City High School football players were at Jennie Barker Elementary School this morning greeting and visiting with students. Don't miss this week's game against Great Bend at Buffalo Stadium on Friday - kickoff at is 7:00pm.


There will be no school on Thursday, October 24 and Friday, October 25 for Parent Teacher Conferences. School will be back in session on Monday, October 28, 2024

Jennie Barker Elementary School hosted a Heroes’ Breakfast for first responders Tuesday morning. The event provided an opportunity for the first responders to visit with the school’s students before the start of school.

Asthma screening of 5th graders is taking place today at the intermediate centers. We would like to thank the Garden City Community College nursing students for helping with this event.
Bernadine Sitts Intermediate Center presented a check for $452.26 to the Finney County Humane Society Animal Shelter on Friday from a Pennies for Pets campaign fundraising drive at the school. Cherlyn Robinson’s class raised the money for the shelter as their service project.



Dr. Ron Barrett-Gonzalez, Professor at KU in Aerospace Engineering, along with some students ,were at Bernadine Sitts Intermediate Center visiting with 6th graders about Aerospace Engineering. Students had an opportunity to fly small drones, styrofoam airplanes, and prop copters.
