Garden City High School orchestra students recently had their pieces judged for the Southwest/Northwest District Honor Orchestra. The GCHS orchestra students will travel to Dodge City on Saturday, December 6 to work on their music and perform at a concert that day.
The GCHS students that received spots in the orchestra include: Violin: Robert Smith, Lexi Peters, Kiahna Reyes, Breilyn Earl, Liyanna Bencomo, Vianney Ortega, Janet Garcia (section leader), Kealie Bryant, Dvin Pelton, Jizelle Velasquez, Alexander Mezquita-Ramirez, Ezekiel Millholland-McMillan, Allyson Blanco-Zetino, Sam Cheney, Margi Tena, and Isacc Varela.
Viola: Juan Delgado-Dominguez (section leader), Liliana Hernandez (section leader), Yaneli Armenta,Levan Knier, Itzel Alarcon-Nava, Samuel Gonzalez, Bryson Workman, Yaretzy Gonzalez, Amy Diep, and Emelyn Caro.
Cello: Wah Ler Taw (section leader), Amy Sosa, Law Ku Htoo, Camila Soltero, Macee White, and Xochitl Vazquez-Paredes.
Bass: Kei Kempis and Ailyn Arroyo Granados.
