Garden City Public Schools continues to enroll students for the 2026-2027 school year. The Central Student Enrollment Office at the Educational Support Center, 1205 Fleming Street, is taking appointments for kindergarten students and other children to enroll in the district.
Parents will need to click here to set an appointment for their child to be enrolled if they are new to the district.
Parents who have a child eligible for kindergarten, who will be five years old by August 31, 2026, and who are not currently attending Garfield Early Childhood Center, will need to click here to go to the Enrollment page and click on “Add a New Student” to register their child. Parents will need to upload that child’s birth certificate, immunizations, parent ID, and proof of address.
The Central Student Enrollment Office assists parents and guardians with every aspect of the enrollment process. All children new to Garden City Public Schools must enroll through the Central Enrollment Office.
The first day of school for Garden City Public Schools is Wednesday, August 12, 2026. It will be a half-day orientation for all students in kindergarten through fifth grade, seventh grade, ninth and tenth grades, and all students new to the district.
The first full day of school is Thursday, August 13, 2026, when all classes will be in session for the start of the 2026-27 school year.
The district is requesting that parents update their contact information so schools can contact them about their child during the school year.
