Virtual schooling provides students and families with one more option for meeting students' learning needs as they complete online courses. Students, families, and staff work together to develop individual plans of study. This allows students in high school to explore electives in areas of interest and take dual enrollment classes with Garden City Community College, some of which lead to industry certification.
Successful virtual students are highly motivated, build personal routines and develop study skills, and learn how to advocate for themselves to lead their own learning. Students in grades 7-12 are full-time students, though they can complete their school hours and assignments on a flexible basis each week. Adult student requirements are different from those in grades 7-12.
