The Garden City High School drama department, in collaboration with Steps Dance School, will present “Chicago: Teen Edition”. The performances will be held on January 23rd and 24th at 7:00 p.m. There will be a matinee on January 25th at 2:30 p.m. The shows will be held in the auditorium on the Garden City High School campus, 2720 Buffalo Way Blvd.
Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens, and $5 for students in high school and under. The box office opens an hour before the production for the purchase of tickets at the door. Cash, checks, and credit/debit cards are accepted.
Synopsis: “Chicago: Teen Edition”: In “The Roaring Twenties,” Chicago, chorine Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap. This is until he finds out he’s been duped and turns to Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and another “Merry Murderess,” Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of the “American Dream”: fame, fortune, and acquittal.
