The Garden City Public Schools Foundation will participate in the Match Day event, hosted by the Western Kansas Community Foundation (WKCF) on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. The WKCF will proportionately match donations made to the Garden City Public Schools Foundation on that day. The 2025 match pool is $150,000 and will be divided among participating organizations in proportion to the total amount raised.
The Western Kansas Community Foundation will match donations between $20 and $2,000 through December 2, 2025. All donations are tax-deductible and will be accepted in three ways:
• Online: WKCF is encouraging electronic donations at matchday.wkcf.org to help streamline the event and gift processing. You can donate directly here to the Garden City Public Schools Foundation.
• In-person: From 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 ("Giving Tuesday"), at the First United Methodist Church, 1106 N. Main Street.
• Mail-in: Mail to WKCF at 402 N. Main, Garden City, KS 67846.
To be eligible for a match, checks must be made out to the WKCF and include a giving form that designates the benefiting organizations, complete contact information, and specifies anonymity preferences. Checks must be dated and postmarked between November 17th to December 2nd in order to qualify for the match.
The Garden City Public Schools Foundation functions in alliance with the Western Kansas Community Foundation. It offers the opportunity to enhance the learning environment, increase the effectiveness of instruction, and help strengthen and broaden ties between the schools and the community.
