The selected firm will partner with the Board of Education and district administration to support the design and delivery of safe, functional, and future-focused school facilities that reflect our district’s mission of delivering an unparalleled educational experience for our students, staff, and community.
Under unfinished business, the Board heard a Honeywell Year 1 update and approved to discontinue a Year 2 Measurement and Verification Services contract.
The Board held two executive sessions after the completion of all other business. The first executive session was for consultation with an attorney for the body or agency which would be deemed privileged in an attorney-client relationship. No action was taken after the executive session. The second executive session was for personnel matters for non-elected personnel. The Board came out of the executive session and approved Josh Guymon as the next Superintendent of Schools for Garden City Public Schools, pending successful contract negotiations. Guymon, who has been serving as Interim Superintendent, will now step fully into the role as the district’s permanent leader.
