Board Meeting Recap

Garden City Public Schools Board of Education met on Thursday, July 24, 2025.  The meeting was held at the Educational Support Center Board Room, 1205 Fleming Street. 

The board approved the following items during the meeting.  They include: Minutes of the July 14 regular meeting; Accounts Payable with all major accounts containing adequate balances to meet current obligations. Personnel certified and classified actions.

They also approved the following Board of Education Policy changes.  They include: BBC Board Committees, CCA District Organizational Chart, CN Public Records, DFE Investment of Funds, DFH Fundraising Activities (NEW), GAE Complaints, formerly titled GAE Classified Employee Grievance Procedure, GAACB Employee Whistleblower (NEW), IB School Site Councils, IC Educational Program, JBC Enrollment, JBCD Enrollment of Military Students (NEW), JBCDA In District Transfer (title change), JGFGB Supervision of Medications, JH Student Activities, KBC Media Relations and Usage, KGB Concealed Observations, KM Visitors to the School, and KN Complaints. They also approved the updated Mission and Vision Statement.

The next meeting of the Board of Education will take place on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 6:00 P.M. in the Board Meeting Room at the Educational Support Center, 1205 Fleming Street.
