Garden City Public Schools Board of Education met during a regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, June 26, 2025. The meeting was held at the Educational Support Center Board Room, 1205 Fleming Street.
The Board approved the following items during the meeting. They include minutes of the June 2, 2025, regular meeting. Accounts Payable with all major accounts containing adequate balances to meet current obligations. Personnel certified and classified actions. Conveyor dishwasher for Garden City High School from Pur-O-Zone for $20,233.43. Kenneth Henderson Middle School Marquee Sign bid from Signs Plus for $35,300.00. Bid for two 10-passenger vans. Horace Good Middle School press box demolition bid from Lee Construction for $29,960.00. Ratification of the Negotiated Agreement. 2025-26 Handbooks: Administrator, Classified Employee, Special Education, and Student Assistance Team.
Under new business, the Board approved the continuation of a contract with Renaissance Learning for Fastbridge. This program is the district’s reading and math screener in grades PreK - 12. The agreement is a five-year contract through June 2030 in the amount of $140,000.00.
The next regular meeting of the Board of Education will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room at the Educational Support Center, 1205 Fleming Street.
