Garden City Public Schools honored long-time employees on Thursday, May 23, at a Board of Education Staff Recognition Dinner held in the Commons Area at Garden City High School. Each year Garden City Public Schools proudly salutes all of its retiring employees and those who continue to serve the district after 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 years of service.
For many, their service to the district and students has lasted decades - allowing them to hone their skills, to mentor their colleagues and to be leaders in their professions.
This year, 29 employees retired from Garden City Public Schools with a combined total of 688 years of service. There were also 126 employees recognized for their longevity with the district.
