Garden City Public Schools Visual Art Department has recently announced the People's Choice Award Winners and the Honorable Mention, from the Annual District Art Show in March. Students from around the district had their artwork on display at the Educational Support Center as part of the celebration of Youth Art Month during the month of March.
The students that received the People's Choice Award include: Emanuel Cintora (Victor Ornelas) Digital Delights. Second place went to Gracen Cool (Victor Ornelas) Digital Delights. The 7th -8th grade award went to Josilen Hernandez 9 Horace Good Middle School) for Mesmerized. Second place went to Serenity Saddler (Horace Good Middle School) for Holy light. The high school award went to Cesar Morales for “Aloha”. Second Place went to Makayla Ortiz.
Honorable mentions went to Messiah Arteaga (Abe Hubert) Acrylic, Natalie Salvador (Buffalo Jones) Pop Art Hearts, Noah S (Buffalo Jones) Winter penguins, Jenna Wade (Georgia Matthew) Monochromatic Self-Portrait, Adelyn Bayer (Plymell) Layla, Mae Schartz (Plymell) Splash of Color, Seth Alvarado (Plymell) Snowy hill, and Esperanza Munoz (Victor Ornelas) Digital.
