Garden City Public Schools has named Jessica Nothern the new Chief Financial Officer for the district. Her appointment to the position was approved at the February 5 Board of Education meeting. “Jessica brings tremendous skills and experience to the position and I look forward to working with her,” said Dr. Mike Dominguez, Superintendent of Schools.
Nothern is succeeding Colleen Drees who will be stepping down from the roll in the district on March 8, 2024. “We want to thank Colleen for her years of service to the district and wish her well on her new journey,” noted Dominguez.
Nothern is currently the Employee Services Director for the school district. She brings 16 years of experience in school finance to the position. "I am excited about this opportunity and the privilege of serving the students and staff in this roll at the district," said Nothern.
Garden City Public Schools is a Class 6A school district in Kansas with an annual budget of over $175 million.
