GCHS To Host FSA ID Night For Parents

Garden City High School will hold a FSA ID Night for parents on Tuesday, February 13, to help their senior student create a FSA ID to help them get started on the Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The event will be held from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. in the GCHS Career Center, 2720 Buffalo Way Blvd.

If families are planning to apply for college financial aid, they will need to have completed and submit the FASFA. The FSA ID will need to be created before the start of the FAFSA application process.

Students will get help on the procedure in completing the FAFSA during the month of February. Garden City High School and Garden City Community College staff will help in filling out the FAFSA during parent teacher conferences in the GCHS library. Support will be provided from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22 and from 10:00 a.m. - noon on Friday, February 23.

The FAFSA is the basis for nearly all university and college financial assistance. The FAFSA is available to file at www.fafsa.gov.
