There are a number of music concerts scheduled for schools in the district. The free concerts are open to the public.
Abe Hubert Elementary School will present a band concert on Thursday, November 30, at 6:00 p.m. in the gym, 1205 A Street. There will be band students from Plymell Elementary School and Jennie Barker Elementary School that will be performing in the concert.
Charles Stones Intermediate Center will present a band concert on Thursday, November 30, at 6:00 p.m.
Bernadine Sitts Intermediate Center will present a choir and orchestra concert on Thursday, November 30, at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria at the school, 3101 Belmont Place.
Alta Brown Elementary School will present a music concert on Friday, December 1st. Kindergarten-1st grade will present their program at 6:00 p.m. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades will perform at 6:45 p.m. The concerts will be held in the gym, 1110 East Pine Street.
Garden City High School choir and band students that have advanced to the Southwest Kansas Music Educators Association District Honor Choir and Band will perform in a concert at Dodge City High School on Saturday, December 2, 2023.
