GCHS Students Make District Orchestra

Garden City High School orchestra students had their pieces judged for the Southwest/Northwest District Honor Orchestra on Saturday, November 4, 2023.  Students from all four of the GCHS orchestra classes are represented in the honor orchestra. The viola section is being dominating by Garden City High School students, with eight out of 14 seats being GCHS students.

The GCHS orchestra students will travel to Dodge City High School on Saturday, December 2 to work on their music and perform a concert that day. The concert will be held at 3:15 p.m.

The GCHS students that received spots in the orchestra include: Violin 1: John Nguyen, Xander Flores, Alex Argueta, and Neomi Baltazar.  Violin 2: Arianna Martinez, Dakota Marcellus, Robert Smith, Justin Cconteras, Emelin Dominguez, and Princess Chapa. Viola: Ashley Kingstone, Quinlynn Harms, Julissa Martin, Uaneli Armenta, Miko Cruz-Rodriguez, Saray Zepada, Ava Galvan, and Bryson Workman. Cello: Wahler Taw, Joseph Miller, and Law Htoo. Bass: Julia Facio, and Devin Richters.

The GCHS orchestra director is Summer Miller.
