The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Garden City Public Schools Board of Education will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 28, 2023. The meeting will be held at the Educational Support Center Board Room, 1205 Fleming Street, and via a live YouTube stream.
The board will receive information on the Garden City High School Journalism and Multimedia Programs from Eric Velander, GCHS Journalism and Multimedia teacher.
The board will look at approval of adoption of a resolution of Board Vacancy. This is due to the resignation of Dana Nanninga from the Board of Education at the last meeting.
Under new business, the board will hear from RSP on a possible boundary study for the district. They will discuss the 2023-24 district budget and consider approval for publication.
There will be a first read on the 2023-24 Child Nutrition and Wellness Department Staff Handbook and School Psychologist Intern Agreement. There will also be a first reading on Board Policies: GAOA Drug-Free Workplace, GBQA Reduction of Teaching Staff, and KN Complaints.
The board will consider a quote on district wide Classlink Integration from Imaging Learning for $220,000.
