USD #457 will hold a free developmental screening clinic for children three to five years of age who are Garden City residents. The clinic will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023. It will take place at the Garfield Early Childhood Center, 121 W. Walnut, Garden City, Kansas.
There will be no school on Friday for Garfield Early Childhood Center. The first day of school for the center is Monday, August 21, 2023. The morning session will start at 8:30 a.m. and the afternoon session will begin at 12:15 p.m.
The screening will take approximately an hour and a half. Trained professionals will check each child's hearing, vision, large and small muscle development, communication, and thinking skills.
