Garden City Public Schools honored long-time employees on Thursday, May 17, at a Board of Education Staff Recognition Dinner held in the Commons Area at Garden City High School. Each year Garden City Public Schools proudly salutes all of its retiring employees and those who continue to serve the district after 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 years of service.
This year, 16 employees retired from Garden City Public Schools with a combined total of 412 years of service. There were also 107 employees recognized for their longevity with the district. Those retiring from the district include: Lana Pratt (5 years), Elizabeth Ruiz (9 years), Tomasa Merjil (16 years), Annette Wyatt (20 years), Betty Hines (24 years), Randy Garrier (24 years), Teresa Utz (25 years), Catalina Dominguez (26 years), Mary Karlin (30 years), William Nguyen (30 years), Mary Jo Schultz (30 years), Kelli Livermore (32 years), Michelle Law (33 years), Tamara Riggs (34 years), Rhonda Roth (37 years), and Shelley Stroup (37 years).
