Josh Guymon Named Assistant Superintendent

The USD 457 Board of Education approved Josh Guymon as the new assistant superintendent of Garden City Public Schools at its April 17 meeting.  Guymon will be transferring from the special education director position to assistant superintendent of operations position for the 2023-24 academic year.

Guymon has served students and families of Garden City for 26 years as a teacher, assistant principal, principal and most recently Director of Special Education. Josh is currently working on his Doctorate degree in educational leadership from Kansas State University.  He also holds a Master’s degree from Fort Hays State University in building administration and a Bachelor’s degree from Chadron State College in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education.

He is married and has two children who are both graduates of Garden City High School.
