Garden City Public Schools will be celebrating Read Across America from February 27 - March 3 to promote reading and adult involvement in the education of our community's students. Students at Garden City Public Schools will join millions of their peers across the country to celebrate the National Education Association's (NEA) Read Across America Day on Thursday, March 2, 2023.
Deborah Oyler, Mayor of Garden City, will be at Jennie Wilson Elementary School, 1401 Harding Avenue, on Thursday, March 2 at 8:15 a.m. to read a proclamation, at an all school assembly, designating the day as Read Across America Day in Garden City. The proclamation will encourage all citizens of Garden City that every child is in a safe place reading together with a caring adult on March 2, 2023.
