Letter From Superintendent Dr. Karlin

Dear Parents,

As our country fights the spread of COVID-19, our greatest priority is the safety of our students, staff and community members but also those of other communities as well.  We are following guidelines and protocols set by the Finney County Health Department and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and our school district, to decrease the potential spread of the virus.

If your child has been directed to quarantine, or excluded from school for COVID-19 symptoms, the student is not allowed to attend any USD 457 activity or after school event.  This includes any in-town or out-of-town events.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve you and your family, especially as we face this challenging situation together. Nothing is more important to Garden City Public Schools than the safety and health of our students, our employees and their families. When we work together, we can provide the best care for all involved.

Thank you for your continued support!

Steven R. Karlin, Ed.D.
Superintendent
