McKinney-Vento Homeless Program

  • On March 11, 2021, President Biden signed into law the American Rescue Plan (ARP).  These funds support the specific and urgent needs of homeless students and youth based on the coronavirus disease pandemic on homeless students.
  • On average 100 students qualify as McKinney Vento in our school district.
  • McKinney Vento Covid relief grants have been offered to our district.
  • American Rescue Plan Act, Education of Homeless Children and  Youth (ARP HCY I and ARP HCY II)
  • ARP HCY I has been awarded in the amount of $48,000
  • ARP HCY II is in process of being awarded in the amount of $89,000

  • Tutoring-Tutor Me online tutoring for secondary students
  • Medical referrals- Partnering with Genesis Family Health Care Center to provide preventative medical, dental, and mental health support to our students.
  • Professional Development
  • Supplies-Books, school supplies, backpacks, summer school take home backpacks, parent engagement materials, clothing, and hygiene supplies.
  • Technology-Technology for students to fully participate in academic and school activities such as mobile hotspots and a family iPad.
