What Is The Technology Rich Classrooms Project?
The purpose of the Technology Rich Classrooms Project is to provide evidence that the immersion of technologies into the learning environment, which is supported by strong, ongoing professional development, can produce positive change in the classroom that results in improved student learning. The goal is to bring about change- change in the way teachers teach, change in the way students learn, and change in the way learning is assessed.

TRC in Garden City
In 2004, four classrooms in our district became part of the state TRC project.  Based on the measurable student success in those four classrooms, Garden City Public Schools is replicating the project within the district.  Six classrooms were added in 2006-2007 and an additional 10 are being added in 2007-2008.

Garden City received an EETT TRC grant for four classrooms in two schools for the 2007-2008 school year.

Garden City will once again participate in the TRC project for the 2008-2009 school year.  The two schools participating are Victor Ornelas and Alta Brown Elementary Schools.

Resources
The Internet has a plethora of resources available to help with technology integration in the classrooms; however, searching can be time consuming and overwhelming.  By clicking the resource link on the left, you can look through a parsed down selection divided into categories.
