I. All students and staff will have equitable access to that technology which
supports the teaching and learning environment.
A. All Students and staff will have access to current and emerging
technology, including a computer.
B. All students and staff will have ready access to information needed
for learning, decision-making, and evaluation.
C. Students and staff will understand the full range of capabilities
within the district.
II. Student learning will be enhanced through the use of technology which has
been integrated into the pedagogy of the classroom and curriculum.
A. Students will demonstrate proficiency in information literacy.
B. Each student will demonstrate knowledge and application of
appropriate technology.
C. Students and staff will select, apply and assess technology
tools to achieve academic goals identified in school improvement
plans.
III. All district staff will participate in ongoing technology-related staff
development programs.
A. All staff will have the training and support necessary to utilize
technology in their areas of responsibility within the district.
IV. The Board of Education will provide on-going financial support for current
and emerging technologies. This will include, but not be limited to, funding
for equipment, software, staff development, research and support.
A. Provide a technical support staff to effectively maintain the system.
V. The district will develop business/industry/community/educational
partnerships to assist with technology integration.
A. The district will promote electronic communication for staff,
community, parents, and students.
B. The district will continue to support partnerships with USD 363
and GCCC for the Information Technology Center of Excellence.
C. The district will develop business / career partnerships.
D. The district will develop and maintain VE-II approved technical
and career educational programs.
