The mission of HGMS Library is to provide curricular and instructional support to staff and to enable students to become lifelong readers and capable users of ideas and information in a changing world.

Below are some of the things Mrs. Jameson saw and authors she met and things she did at American Library Conference in Dallas, New Orleans and Anaheim while she was President of the Kansas Association of School Librarians.

Check out all the new books Mrs. Jameson just picked up at the American Library Association conference.  The books are copies that haven't been released for purchase.   These are called proof copies, advanced copies or galley's.  Some changes to the cover and word choice may be made before the final printing of the book.

 I attended KASL Conference and I met Clare Vanderpool from Kansas who is the 2011 Newbery Winner for Moon Over Manifest , Ben Mikaelsen author of Touching Spirit Bear and many other titles, Elizabeth Eulberg and Bruce Hale the author of the Chet Gecko series.

 The authors Mrs. Jameson saw or met in New Orleans and Anaheim at the American Library Association Conferences.

The stuedents in Miss Martinez's Advanced Reading Class read a book and then designed a cereal box book.  See photos below.
