Family, Career and Community
Leaders of America

What is FCCLA?

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a dynamic and effective national student organization that helps young men and women become leaders and address important personal family work and societal issues through family and consumer sciences education.  Our local chapter is very involved with many project within the school and the community especially the Emmaus House in Garden City.  The Emmaus House is our local food pantry and shelter for people needing temporary housing and distribution of food baskets.  FCCLA usually holds two food drives during the school year to donate to the Emmaus house.

Other activities that FCCLA participates in each year include a membership drive, STAR Events and other projects that are taught within our class curriculum.  Many of the class projects are completed and donated to various agencies within our community in Garden City.
