Education and Early Childhood Services
Pam Babb

The Education, Early Childhood and Services program focuses mainly on the child from birth to age 5.  Students who complete this program will leave with the basic knowledge of what it takes to become employed in the early childhood area.  Activities covered include checking out the RealCare Infant Simulator for a weekend, the use of the empathy belly, hands-on observation work in an elementary school, professional portfolio work, lesson plans, and creating and designing a child care center.  In the final class of the program, students will also be assigned a classroom teacher to work with so they can receive hands-on experience working one-to-one with elementary students.
