Parent - Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences are Thursday, February 18, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm. and Friday, February 19 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:50 p.m.

No School Friday, February 5th

Garden City Public Schools will hold an in-service day for teachers on Friday, February 5th. There will be no school for students. Classes will be back in session on Monday, February 8.

GCHS Modern Show Choir Plans Valentine's Dinner Show

The GCHS Modern Show Choir will present a Valentine's Dinner Show, entitled "Love is in the Air", on Monday, February 8th, at St. Dominic's Parish Center, 615 J.C. Street. This is a special evening for couples to get out and enjoy a dinner and a live show. For $40.00 a couple, or $25.00 for an individual, the evening will include a tri-tip steak dinner and trimmings, along with the GCHS Modern Show Choir providing a show. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the dinner and show starting at 6:00 p.m. Reservations are required and need to be confirmed by February 3, 2010. Please call Jan Kennedy at 805-8179, 275-2684 or 640-8822 for reservations. All proceeds from the event go to the GCHS Modern Show Choir.

Seniors

Josten's will be here to deliver announcements, cap and gowns on February 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and February 25 from 7:30 a.m. until last lunch is over in the courtyard.

Career Center
See Mrs. Hill in the Career Center for college or career information she can help you with. You can get an O.P. Pass from her.

Students, if you have received a letter of admission from the college that you have selected, please bring it to Mrs. Hill in the Career Center so we can add your name to the College Board that is in the hall.

Pittsburg State will be here on February 10th during O.P.

Garden City Community College will be here February 17th during O.P.

Kansas State will be here on February 24th during O.P.

June 12, 2010 registration deadline is May 7, 2010
If you are a college-bound junior, remember that the College Board recommends students take the ACT during their second semester of their junior year.
