While language is a subject worthy of study by itself, the study of Language in seventh grade will support the learning process in all your other subjects. In seventh grade you will grow in your ability to communicate with other people. The lessons are designed so that you can draw on your past experiences to refine your skills in reading, listening, writing, and speaking.

Eighth grade English will focus on improving communication, writing, and listening skills which will be accomplished through original writing based on personal experiences. Application of usage skills will be made through literature and in composition.
