Parents as Teachers (PAT) is an international early childhood parent education and family support program serving families throughout pregnancy until their child enters kindergarten, usually age 5. The program is designed to enhance child development and school achievement through parent education accessible to all families.

Our parent educators make home visits and play groups are held once per month.  Please call for the schedule.  Parents may also check out materials from the Parent Resource Library.

Even Start   The purpose of the Even Start Family Literacy Program is to help break the cycle of poverty and illiteracy by improving the educational opportunities for families.  This is accomplished by integrating early childhood education, adult literacy and adult basic education, and parenting education into a unified literacy program.  Even Start is implemented nationally through cooperative projects that build on existing community resources, creating a new range of services for children families and adults.                              National Even Start

Even Start meets most Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Nights from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, when school is in session.   Children have activities while parents attend classes.  Part of the evening is spent in Parent and Child Together time activities.
